This Dutch band was founded in 2022 by Bego Begović, in Swalmen (NL).
Bego started looking for musicians who could perform his own keyboard based songs.
It was not only important to find good musicians who fit together musically, but also were similar in attitude and mindset.
What he found were musicians who, just like him, give meditative sound concerts and therefore understand what Bego wants to create…
A mix of meditative music with danceable grooves.
Bart Koenders is a hard worker who does everything for the music.
A good sound is very important to him, as evidenced by his 1m long paddle board, which he uses for his bass sounds.
Together with Geert van Niekerken he creates a solid and interesting rhythm foundation.
Geert’s timing on the drums is great, which is very important for the many synth and percussion grooves that run along.
Rob Bartels lives the shaman in every cell and every minute of his life.
Just like the rest of the band, he has been involved with music his whole life.
With his didgeridoo he puts you in a deep trance state that fits perfectly with the band’s sound.
The name Bego & The Shamans seemed to be a fitting name for this band.
